Lesson Policies

Clear expectations help lessons stay productive, consistent, and enjoyable for everyone. These policies apply to recurring in-person and online lessons with B.E. Music Lab.

Scheduling and attendance

• Your scheduled lesson time is reserved specifically for you.
• Please arrive or join the online lesson on time and ready to begin.
• Students who arrive late will receive the remainder of their scheduled lesson; the lesson cannot be extended past its original end time.

Cancellations, rescheduling, and make-up lessons

• Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or request a different lesson time.
• With at least 24 hours’ notice, a make-up lesson may be scheduled based on availability.
• Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, and missed lessons without notice, are charged as scheduled and are not eligible for a make-up lesson.
• If B.E. Music Lab must cancel a lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled or credited.
• Emergencies and unusual circumstances may be considered individually.

Payments and enrollment

• Lesson rates, lesson length, billing schedule, and payment due dates are confirmed before paid lessons begin.
• Recurring students authorize the charges associated with their selected lesson or membership plan.
• Accounts must remain current to keep a recurring lesson time and access any included member resources.

Online lessons

• Please join a few minutes early with your instrument, lesson materials, and a reliable internet connection.
• Students are responsible for a working device, camera, microphone, speakers or headphones, and a safe practice space.
• If a technical problem interrupts a lesson, contact B.E. Music Lab promptly. Solutions will be handled fairly based on the circumstances.

Lesson materials and communication

• Lesson materials are provided for the student’s individual educational use and may not be redistributed or shared publicly without permission.
• Schedule changes are confirmed only after B.E. Music Lab acknowledges the request.
• Please communicate any learning needs, physical concerns, or questions so lessons can remain safe and productive.
