Lessons for Every Stage

Start where you are. Build toward what matters to you.

You do not need previous experience, a long practice schedule, or a perfectly defined goal to begin. These one-to-one online guitar lessons are shaped around the player you are now and the musician you want to become.

Starting from zero

Learn how to hold the guitar, tune it, make your first notes and chords, and build a practice routine that feels manageable.

Returning to guitar

Rebuild technique, refresh forgotten skills, and replace old frustration with a clearer path forward.

Ready for the next level

Work through a plateau, strengthen weak areas, and explore more advanced ideas with focused feedback.

Lessons are also designed for adults with limited practice time. We will focus on the work that matters most instead of filling your week with assignments you cannot realistically complete.

What We Can Work On

Learn the music you care about and understand how it works.

Lessons can explore rock, blues, jazz, pop, folk and acoustic playing, and fingerstyle guitar. Your work can also include songwriting, improvisation, creative soloing, music theory, fretboard knowledge, reading music, technique, repertoire, and performance preparation.

Advanced players are welcome. If you are looking specifically for expert-level jazz specialization, contact Jeremiah first so you can make sure the lesson is the right fit.

Online Student Stories

What learning online has looked like for other adults.

“Jeremiah explains music in a very easy to comprehend way and has the patience of a saint doing it!”

Shawn S. · Selinsgrove

Adult beginner

“As a ‘campfire strummer’ with a basic knowledge of chords and the fretboard, I found Jeremiah’s help invaluable. He introduced me to chord alternatives that have truly enhanced my playing and given the music the feeling it was missing. More importantly, chord options along the fret board are helping with my chord changes!”

Scott H. · Linglestown

Advanced adult guitarist

“Played guitar when I was young, then stopped for a while. Now I’m older and have lots of time to play guitar. Jeremiah’s lessons have got me back on track in no time at all. I’m playing songs I enjoy and not wasting time.”

Rob R. · Harrisburg

Adult beginner and returning player

A Lesson Built Around You

Focused time with a clear purpose.

What happens during a lesson

There is no fixed script that every student has to follow. A lesson may begin by reviewing what you practiced, identifying what feels difficult, and choosing the most useful next step. From there, you might work on technique, rhythm, theory, a song, or a musical idea while receiving real-time feedback and corrections.

Before the lesson ends, you will know what to focus on next.

Support between lessons

When useful, Jeremiah may create a custom exercise in guitar tablature or standard notation. Lesson support can also be shared through email, PDFs, links, custom videos, or shared documents.

How Zoom lessons work

Join from a computer, tablet, or phone with a camera and microphone. Position the device so Jeremiah can see both hands clearly, then keep your guitar, notes, and normal practice setup nearby. You can ask questions, demonstrate what you are playing, and make adjustments together in real time. If a technical problem interrupts a lesson, contact B.E. Music Lab promptly and the situation will be handled fairly based on the circumstances.

What progress can look like

Progress depends on your starting point, goals, and the time you can practice consistently. In the first few weeks, it may mean correcting a technical habit, understanding a musical idea, or establishing a routine you can maintain. Over the following months, that foundation can support cleaner playing, stronger rhythm, a larger repertoire, greater confidence, and more creative musical choices.

Simple Setup

What you’ll need.

  • Your acoustic or electric guitar
  • A device with a camera and microphone
  • A reliable internet connection
